The Work Stuff
I won my first award for a poem about Snow White and Cinderella busting Prince Charming for cheating. I was 10.
I probably should’ve known then that I was a writer, but a passion for art and photography meant it took me a little while to find copywriting as my creative outlet.
I love writing but ideas are even better. I like ideas that do, not just say (see a few of those here) because those are the ideas that are effective and entertain, and that’s exactly the sort of work I want to create next.
I’ve worked on Australian and international brands including CommBank, BWS, Telstra, Macca’s, NRMA, Westpac, Peroni, Listerine, Samsung, and Virgin Airlines. And even more importantly I’ve tutored AWARD School and mentored young creatives, which I’m super passionate about. I’m now at The Works and before that I worked at agencies in Sydney and London, including M&C Saatchi, CHEP, DDB and VCCP.
The Nice Stuff
Lauren is an ambitious, smart, diligent creative. She can wow you on the big stuff, challenge you with innovative thinking and is meticulous on the small details. She is versatile; Lauren can write funny, sincerely, cheekily. She can write pretty much anything. And she brings hunger, energy and interests outside of advertising to the team and to her work.
Avish Gordhan, CCO Dentsu Creative
In her time with M&C Saatchi she proved a pitch winner on government accounts and a safe pair of hands on grown up pieces of business. Lauren is analytical and willing to challenge briefs when her gut tells her there’s a better way or that something is off. And you’ll get someone who’s really interested in agency culture, particularly creative culture and how best to bring people together.
Cam Blackley, CCO M&C Saatchi AUNZ
She’s a strong, modern creative, as comfortable with TV as she is with digital and social. She builds strong relationships with clients, always comes with a considered point-of-view, and isn’t afraid of digging in and getting the job done. If you’re looking for a positive, proactive creative who cares about the ideas and about the details, you’ll be in good hands.
Hamish Stewart, ECD Experience CHEP Network
The Not Work Stuff
Experiencing how other people express their creativity is my second love, so outside the 9-5 you’ll find me in art galleries, watching comedy, theatre, improv, musicals or even an improvised-comedy-musical (one word: wild.) And for creative craft in a glass I can’t go past a great cocktail so when there’s a new bar I’m there choosing the most unusual drink on the menu.

The Contact Stuff
Drop me a line I’m always keen for a chat. And if you can guess which ad on here I lent my voice to, the first cocktail is on me.
